Welcome to the website of Museum of Illusions Hong Kong Limited ("Museum", "MOI Hong Kong", "we", "our" or "us").

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, online ticketing services, products, services and admission to the Museum.

By accessing our website, purchasing tickets, making a booking or visiting the Museum, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. WEBSITE USE

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not:

  • misuse the website;
  • attempt unauthorized access to any part of the website;
  • interfere with website security;
  • transmit malicious software;
  • use automated systems to purchase tickets without authorization.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the website at any time.


3. TICKET PURCHASES

All tickets are subject to availability.

A booking is confirmed only once:

  • payment has been successfully processed; and
  • a confirmation email has been issued.

The Museum reserves the right to limit ticket quantities per transaction.

Prices displayed are in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD) unless otherwise stated.


4. ADMISSION POLICY

All visitors must present a valid ticket upon entry.

Tickets are valid only for:

  • the date selected;
  • the designated entry time (where applicable).

The Museum reserves the right to:

  • refuse admission;
  • request visitors to leave;
  • restrict access to certain exhibits;

where reasonably necessary for safety, security, operational or legal reasons.

No refund shall be provided where admission is refused due to visitor misconduct.


5. CHILDREN

Children under the age specified on the ticketing platform must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Parents and guardians remain solely responsible for minors in their care.

The Museum is not responsible for the supervision of children.


6. REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING

Unless required by applicable law, tickets are non-refundable.

Refunds may be granted only where:

  • the Museum cancels an event;
  • the Museum is unable to provide access due to circumstances within its control;
  • applicable Hong Kong law requires a refund.

Requests for date changes may be granted at the Museum's sole discretion and may be subject to administrative fees.

Failure to attend does not entitle the ticket holder to a refund.


7. GIFT CARDS AND VOUCHERS

Gift cards and vouchers:

  • are not redeemable for cash;
  • are non-refundable;
  • may not be resold without authorization;
  • must be used before the stated expiry date.

Lost, stolen or damaged vouchers may not be replaced.


8. GROUP BOOKINGS

Special conditions may apply to:

  • schools;
  • corporate groups;
  • tour operators;
  • private events.

Deposits paid for group bookings may be non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.


9. PRIVATE EVENTS

The Museum may offer private venue hire and event services.

Additional event agreements may apply.

Where a separate written agreement exists, that agreement shall prevail over these Terms in relation to the event.


10. CONDUCT OF VISITORS

Visitors must:

  • comply with instructions from Museum staff;
  • behave respectfully toward staff and other guests;
  • avoid conduct that may damage exhibits or disrupt operations.

The following are prohibited:

  • violent or threatening behaviour;
  • harassment;
  • intoxication;
  • illegal activities;
  • deliberate damage to Museum property.

Visitors may be removed without refund for violations.


11. PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING

Photography and video recording for personal, non-commercial use are generally permitted unless otherwise indicated.

Commercial photography, filming, influencer shoots, advertising productions or media activities require prior written approval.

The Museum may revoke photography privileges at any time.


12. VISITOR SAFETY

Certain exhibits may involve visual illusions, mirrors, lighting effects, rotating elements or spatial distortions.

Visitors enter and use exhibits at their own risk.

Visitors should exercise reasonable care and follow all safety instructions.

Individuals who suffer from conditions that may be aggravated by visual stimulation should consult Museum staff before participating.


13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by Hong Kong law, the Museum shall not be liable for:

  • indirect losses;
  • consequential losses;
  • loss of profits;
  • loss of business opportunities;
  • loss of goodwill.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited by law;
  • fraud;
  • any liability that cannot legally be excluded under Hong Kong law.

The Museum's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the visitor for the relevant ticket, booking or service giving rise to the claim.


14. PERSONAL PROPERTY

Visitors are responsible for their personal belongings.

The Museum accepts no responsibility for:

  • lost items;
  • stolen items;
  • damaged property.

Any lost property found may be retained for a reasonable period before disposal.


15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All website content, branding, logos, graphics, images, videos, exhibit concepts and materials are owned by or licensed to the Museum.

No content may be reproduced, distributed or exploited without prior written permission.

The following are protected intellectual property:

  • Museum of Illusions®
  • Museum of Illusions Hong Kong
  • associated logos and branding

where applicable.


16. PRIVACY

We collect, use and process personal data in accordance with:

  • the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong; and
  • our Privacy Policy.

By using our services, you consent to such collection and use.


17. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Where permitted by law, we may send marketing communications to users who have consented to receive them.

Users may unsubscribe at any time.


18. FORCE MAJEURE

The Museum shall not be liable for any delay, interruption or failure arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:

  • typhoons;
  • black rainstorm warnings;
  • natural disasters;
  • epidemics or pandemics;
  • government restrictions;
  • public health emergencies;
  • transportation disruptions;
  • labour disputes;
  • internet outages;
  • power failures.

19. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website.

We may suspend, modify or discontinue any part of the website without notice.
